Eye to Eye

John 9:1-12

1. “Who is at fault here?

• Jesus disciples asked him, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?” John 9:2
• Jesus tells his disciples that the blind man’s problems are really an opportunity. John 9:3
• Jesus said, “I am the light of the world.” John 9:5

2. Obedience.

• If the man had the man not followed Jesus instructions would he have received his sight? John 9:7
• The man’s blindness became the means for him to have an encounter with Jesus.

3. Witness.

• When a question arose, the man stood up and said he was in fact the man born blind. John 9:9
• When asked, the man described how his eyes were opened, telling them that it was Jesus who did it. John 9:11
• When they asked where Jesus was he said that he did not know. John 9:12
