Jesus Is The Key

Luke 24:1-11

1. Setting the scene.

• The women went to take care of the body of a dead man.
• They found the tomb opened and empty. 24:2,3
• They were frightened by the sudden appearance of two really strange men. 24:4

2. Why do you look for the living among the dead? 24:5.

• The men’s question caused the women to remember. 24:8
• Jesus had taught that He must die and rise again. 24:7
• The women went away with a new mission. 24:9

3. Faith to believe, the key is Jesus.

• The disciples doubted the women’s message. 24:11
• Their words sounded to fantastic to be believed. 24:11
• But Peter went to check it out, and found the tomb as described; he left wondering what had happened. 24:12
