King of Kings
April 13th, 2008John 12:12-19
1. A great but clueless crowd.
- The people went out to meet Jesus shouting, Hosanna! John 12:12
- The crowd proclaimed Jesus the King of Israel. John 12:13
- The crowd was excited, and they said the right things, but they did not know what their words really meant.
2. Time brings perspective.
- Only after Jesus returned from the grave did His disciples begin to understand what they had done. John 12:16
- Prophesy was fulfilledon the day that Jesus rode into town on a young donkey!
John 12:15 - It is easier to see the truth looking back.
3. The word is out that Jesus is some body.
- People kept talking about Jesus, sharing with everyone what He had done. John 12:17
- Because of this witness, many went to meet Jesus. John 12:18
- Do you have good news to share?
