A New Wardrobe

Colossians 3:1-17
1. Pay attention to things that are above.

• Set your hearts on things that are above. 3:1
• Set your minds on things that are above. 3:2
• Put to death low-minded things. 3:5

2. Off with the old, on with the new. 3:9,12

• The old self was clothed in: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires, anger, rage, malice, slander, filthy language and lies. 3:5,8,9
• The new self is clothed in: compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, patience and above all love. 3:12,14
• The new self is clothed in forgiveness. 3:13

3. The keys to the things that are above.

• The new self is renewed in knowledge. 3:10
• Know that you are God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved! 3:12
• Be thankful! 3:15
