How Should We Then Live

Colossians 3:18 to 4:1

1. Happy Wives.

• Wives submit to your husbands. 3:18
• The wife must respect her husband. Ephesians 5:33
• This means your need to be careful of the man you choose to marry.

2. Happy Husbands.

• Husbands, love your wives. 3:19
• Husbands love your wives just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her. Ephesians 5:25
• This love puts the other person first, it is an action before it is a feeling.

3. Happy Children

• Children, obey your parents in everything, for this pleases the Lord. 3:20
• Fathers, do not embitter your children, or they will become discouraged. 3:21
• Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord. Ephesians 6:4
