Spiritual Discernment

I Corinthians 2:6-16

1. The good news!

• “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him.” I Corinthians 2:9
• The good news is revealed to us by God’s Spirit. 2:10
• Those who turn their backs upon Jesus Christ cannot know this good news. 2:8

2. The Spirit.

• Searches all things even the deep things of God. 2:10
• Gives us understanding. 2:12
• Infuses us with the mind of Christ. 2:16

3. Without the Spirit.

• Without the Spirit, one does not accept the things that come from the Spirit. 2:14
• The deep truths seem foolish to those without the Spirit of God. 2:14
• The first real step to transformation in anyone’s life must be to receive the Spirit.
