Honoring God

I Corinthians 8:1-13

1. Two systems.

• Knowledge puffs up. 8:1
• Love builds up. 8:1
• But the man who loves God is known by God. I Cor. 8:3

2. There is only one!

• Little “gods” abound, I Cor. 8:5
• There is only one “God”. I Cor. 8:6
• There is only one Lord, Jesus Christ. I Cor. 8:6

3. The way of love.

• I will temper what I know with love that I might not harm a brother’s faith. I Cor. 8:9
• I am my brother’s keeper therefore I will be careful. 8:13
