Men and Women

I Corinthians 11:2-16

1. The order of things.

  • The source of every man is Christ. I Cor. 11:3
  • The source of the woman is man, I Cor.11:3
  • The source of Christ is God. I Cor. 11:3

2. Honoring Christ.

  • To honor Jesus Christ a man must seek to be like him.
  • Jesus said, “I am among you as one who serves.” Luke 22:27
  • Then Jesus said to his disciples, “If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. Matthew 16:24
  • Both men and women are called to pray and prophesy in the church. I Cor. 11:4-5
  • For as woman came from man, so also man is born of woman. But everything comes from God. I Corinthians 11:12
  • Wives, are you willing to let your husbands lead in your marriages?
  • Husbands, are you willing to lead?
