Gifts

I Corinthians 12:1-11

1. Gifts, service, works.

• Different kinds of gifts but the same Spirit. I Cor. 12:4
• Different kinds of service, but the same Lord. I Cor. 12:5
• Different kinds of working, but the same God. I Cor. 12:6

2. For the common good. I Corinthians 12:7

• Gifts are not given for our own pleasure or edification.
• Gifts are given that they might be used.
• Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good. I Cor. 12:7

3. Types of gifts.

• Wisdom, knowledge, faith
• Healing, miraculous powers, prophecy
• Distinguishing between spirits, speaking in different kinds of tongues, interpretation of tongues.
• He gives them to each one, just as God determines. 12:11
