I Corinthians 14:26-40

1. The strengthening of the church.

• A goal of worship is the strengthening of the church. 14:26
• Worship involved more than just the preacher. 14:26
• Worship should be organized. 14:33

2. Women speaking in the church?

• 1 Corinthians 11:5 lays out rules for women praying and prophesying in the church.
• 1 Corinthians 14:34-35 seems to say that women should not even speak in church.
• One interpretation is that 14:34-35 refer to women not being allowed to judge the prophets. 14:32.

3. Decently and in order.

• Be eager to prophesy, and do not forbid speaking in tongues. 14:39
• Let us come to worship ready to participate in worship.
