1. They were all together in one place. Acts 2:1

They were not just in one place physically, they were also in one place spiritually.

They were constantly in prayer and so in their spirits, they were ready to humbly submit to the Holy Spirit. Acts 1:14

What happened at Pentecost is not the result of superbly trained people enacting God’s plan, rather it is the byproduct of some rough, uncultured Galileans choosing as one with their minds to surrender completely to God. Acts 2:4

2. From every nation under heaven. Acts 2:5

Through the Holy Spirit God can use His people to speak the language of those He is calling! Acts 2:6

Each person heard the wonders of God proclaimed in their own dialect because God’s word is to go to all nations. Acts 1:8

Some responded with faith, and some with ridicule. Acts 2:13

3. As the Spirit enabled them. Acts 2:4

The Spirit enabled these men to witness, but they had to choose to open their mouths and speak!

The call of the Apostle is to be a witness to the resurrection. Acts 1:22 This is also the call of the Church!

Without the Holy Spirit we cannot succeed, with the Holy Spirit we cannot fail!
